Not All Browsers Are Created Equal
Jul 7, 2009 1:36 pm by Tom DzikowskiIn providing Technical Support to Sitepro Customers I have noticed that at least 90% of customers use Internet Explorer to browse websites. Of course I realize the average computer user will use what is given to them, in the case of the Internet Explorer Browser it is pre-loaded onto all Microsoft Windows & Vista operating systems. Microsoft has done an admiral job in trying to keep Internet Explorer current with new versions that try to give their users a better web-surfing experience. But being the largest software producer in the world can make the process of getting out new versions of Internet Explorer a real production. Microsoft needs to issue a few Beta Versions before they can fully launch a new product that will securely function with all of the different versions of Microsoft’s operating systems.
Knowing that you can’t please all of the people with one product, a few software companies have come out with their own web browsers. The idea behind these browsers is to provide a customizable product that gives the web-surfer the options to load what they want in a browser. The best thing about these products is that they are free. Here are two choices available to download to your computer, and did I mention they are FREE.
Firefox is the overwhelming choice of web designers and those who spend a lot of their time on the web. Firefox is extremely fast and very secure. Firefox will load almost any webpage out on the internet. Also, Firefox will run on every type of desktop system. But the reason this product is thought as the best browser in the business is the options they provide to the user. With literally thousands of free add-ons, Firefox will allow you access to the web tools that you want or need when you are surfing the internet.
From the most complete search engine known to man, comes Google’s browser Chrome. Chrome is a very safe and secure browser that utilizes the power of Google’s search engine. Chrome is a very fast browser powered by their own V8 JavaScript Engine that helps load most web pages, no matter how complex. Also, it works seamlessly with the multitude of search features offered by Google.
So if you are thinking about a change, or would like to personalize the web surfing experience, give Firefox or Chrome a try. With easy to understand instructions and tutorials provided by the developers, you just might see the internet in a whole new light.
