Top Five Ways to Keep Your Website Content Fresh
Feb 13, 2009 11:07 am by Kate RafkoMaintaining relevant, interesting information on your website is key to getting your customers to return time and again. Here are five ways you can keep your website content fresh and exciting!
1. Post company news and events. It may seem like an obvious way to keep your content up-to-date, but many companies do not regularly update their company news and events. Determine a realistic posting frequency and stick to it!
2. Add a Tip of the Month. Add a new tip every day, week, or month that relates to your business. In these economic times, money-saving tips will be much appreciated.
3. Add a blog to your website. A blog (contraction of the term "web log") can be maintained by one or more individuals from your company and can contain news about your company, industry, employees, or more! It's a great way to communicate directly to your customers. Stay tuned for Sitepro's new blog set to go live in the first quarter of 2009! 4. Ask your customers to contact you with content ideas. You may be surprised to learn what your customers have to say about your industry, products, or services. If one customer has a question or comment, it's probably a safe bet that others do as well. Therefore, it's worth adding to your site!
5. Read your website content. When is the last time you actually read your website content, particularly the home page? Take some time to read your content to make sure that it is still accurate, relevent, and interesting. Also make sure that it speaks to your audience. You may find that a few tweaks or additions make a big impact!
