Guidelines for Building a Great Website with Sitepro

To ensure that you have the best experience having your website built by Sitepro.com, follow these guidelines and your site should be on time, on budget, and on pace to obtain greater exposure online.

1.       The Decider - It's important to have someone in your company that is able to get the final say on how something should look or what a particular piece of content should say.   This person should be someone that can devote a percentage of their day to reviewing the website and make decisions based on the needs of the individual company.

2.       Know what you want - There are literally millions of websites in existence, there is bound to be a few websites you really like. Pick out your top 3 or 4 websites and list the features you like about them.   When you have focus and know what you want, your designer can take this information and quickly make you a site that suits your needs with a limited number of revisions.

3.       Communicate - Let us know as much as you can about your company, what you expect your website to do for your customers and when you expect all of this to be done.  At Sitepro, we do our very best to make sure your experience in building a website with us is second to none.   We rely on your input to make this website for your company.  No one knows your business better than you, the more detail you can provide about who you are and who your customers are, the better we can deliver an outstanding online portal for your organization.

4.       Be Prepared - Write an outline of several key points you want your website to communicate.  Once you have an outline, expand on your points to provide us with more detailed information about your company and its products.  Doing this will give you a great head start on adding informative content to your new website.

5.       Form Follows Function - We have all been to the website that has an outstanding look and feel, but when you actually need some information from the site, you end up getting lost and leaving in frustration.   What you want in your website isn't always what you need.   You want your website to look pretty, but you need it to make money.   The ability for your customers to easily navigate your website, find your products and contact your sales group has to be considered.
