History

launching sitepro.
Sitepro was founded in 1996 by Michael Phillips who had the vision of building a website development company as a companion business to his radio broadcast station group located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Phillips sold his group of radio stations in 1999 (now owned by Clear Channel) and put his full- time efforts into growing Sitepro. Even in the late 90’s it was apparent that the internet was going to forever change how media would be consumed. Audio, video, and information were exploding online, giving “surfers” the ability to directly interact with information and entertainment in a new way.

Sitepro started with two employees operating from the basement in Phillips’ home. Phillips and Mitch Schultz (a high school junior at the time) began delivering web-based solutions soon after the company opened its doors. Schultz is still with us as a Software Architect and one of our lead software developers. We entered into the internet video business early on and have since identified several major departments or areas-of-endeavor that complement our growing business-oriented, website clientele.

We moved to our current home in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in December 2007. The move was in conjunction with the acquisition of LJM Internet Services Email and Web Hosting business based in Eau Claire.
